Quality Inspections:
Have you recently had a building constructed or refurbished? how confident are you that the building has sufficient passive fire protection. It may have passed inspections but sometimes are item are missed as the inspector has to consider every single aspect of the build. Over the last 20 years we have seen numerous buildings signed off only to find out 12 months later that they were not up to regulations at the time of completion. A final inspection after construction is only valid at that point and when you carry out an annual Fire Risk Assessment 12 months later it will be by a different individual and they may find items that were not originally spotted. With the peace of mind of a thorough survey at time of completion you can be sure that your building is up to current standards. A specialist passive fire protection survey can identify any missing, damaged or sub standard fire protection and as you will be within your 12 month snagging period with your builder you should be entitled to have these non compliances rectified at no cost to you within the defect period.
